That is probably the highlight here - and it is a big highlight. We have stayed numerous times at Dayton House. The location is great, close to everything you would want to do. The buildings are older and some rooms need to be updated. While we were there they were updating the South tower. All in all we enjoy the location no matter what time of year we go.

Some rooms also include sliding doors that separate the master bedrooms from the rest of the units, as well as wall beds. All the rooms have balconies and some look out at the ocean. Room decor is a bit bland and additional amenities -- such as the small fitness center and business center -- are nothing special, but freebies like Wi-Fi and parking add to the value.

It is right on the beach and close to downtown and many other activities. It has a friendly and helpful staff, heated pools and a lovely lawn area for sunbathing which is the best on the strand. A Myrtle Beach staple since 1962, the Sea Captain's House Restaurant serves delicious local fare with breathtaking ocean views. The Sea Captain's House has won more awards than any other restaurant in Myrtle Beach. Southern Living Magazine named it Best Seafood Restaurant four years in a row. Open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner, it offers a wonderful variety of unique seafood dishes as well as poultry, steak, pork and daily lunch specials.

The West Building is located ACROSS THE STREET from the ocean. Located in the Middle Building on the ground floor. The balcony has direct pool deck views.
Breakfast staff, daily breakfast,and outdoor areas facing the water. Close to the beach, friendly staff, nice facilities. Staff was friendly, and they had so many things to do at the resort! Breakfast had a nice variety and everyone was so kind.

We stay each year at Dayton House. We return evèry year because my grandkids ask to go back here. Six years same place says sonething. I like the rooms because of the kitchens.

I liked the location, we were close to everything and could walk. I would ask for a room on a higher floor (we were on the 2nd floor) just to be further away from the pool. I would go again...the price was good for ocean front, the room was perfect for us. Loved everything about Dayton House-rooms were nice n clean, beds were comfy, location was great, right on the beach. Our ocean front rooms were great and had kitchenettes and a balcony.
We truly believe these are the best all-around boats on offer. Join us aboard the OIFC World Cat or Carolina Cat for great fishing adventures. Friendly staff, clean, reasonable rates, close to all things and out of all the craziness towards the Pavillion area. Watched dolphins off the balcony this morning.
